What Awaits in Fortnite Chapter 3? A Leak Confirms Seagulls

The creators of Fortnite seem to have an unlimited reserve of aces up their sleeves. What do they bring to the table in Chapter 3? One of the new details is now confirmed with another leak that made it this week. In Chapter 3, the Island will be visited by flying creatures.
The person behind the leak is the famous HypeX, a data miner and a leaker who finds fantastic details in incredible places. As for this video, it shows seagulls flying at the shores of the island. Given how widely these birds live in the wild, it’s strange they were missing before.

What’s the role of these birds in the gameplay? And once they get added, we can expect some significance: they can interfere while deploying, act as a game, drop some loot when killed, steal loot (many players expect their role to be exactly this), or be trained as living weapons. It’s hard to suggest any reasonable version from the stills we have seen so far. The images show seagulls in a tropical/beach area, right where they belong. Well, first they may just decorate the landscape, but then they can be given some gameplay function.

It’s not clear yet when exactly these birds will appear in the game. HypeX assumes it will be Chapter 3, Season 1, right after the final event of Chapter 2. But the evidence is rather weak so far, and it’s possible to see them a bit later. Still, Epic does not provide any official information on this.

The downtime before the new chapter will probably start on December 5. On December 7, the new chapter is to begin. So, take some rest between the chapters and get ready for the tropical adventure with the sun, water, seagulls, and guns.

Do you expect the seagulls to play some role in the gameplay? Or will they be just a landscape decoration? What else do you expect from Chapter 3? Let’s talk Fortnite in the comments. Your opinion matters!
