Warframe News: Mobile Version and Cross-Platform

Digital Extremes developer has shared the great news with Warframe fans. Born as an MMO for PCs, it became a revelation for many players this year. The huge success the game received on PC might not be repeated on mobile platforms, but critics believe this third-person online action game will be a hit of the year.

Story of Success

Warframe was created back in 2013 but did not receive much attention first. Many game critics gave it mediocre scores in reviews, and it was abandoned for several years. Yet, the developers did not want to leave this game and continued to provide updates. In 2018, the game had 40 million registered users. One session could contain 120 thousand players. From being free to play standard MMO with all the familiar moves and tasks, it was turned into a unique game with advanced content similar to the paid action shooters. Thus, it seems the new updates will be on-demand as well.

Compatibility of Warframe

Originally, the game was made for the Windows platform. A few months later, Digital Extremes released the PS4 version. The developers offered an Xbox One game after a year of work. After that, it was just a matter of time for Warframe to appear on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.

Recent News from TennoCon

TennoCon was special this year, and not only because it beat all the records of attendance by online players, but also because the developers announced the new updates. They shared the good news with all Warframe fans. Now owners of mobile devices can join their allies in the game wherever they are. Besides, the mobile version of Warframe will preserve the cross-platform mode and its saves. So, players who were upset about leaving their favorite game at home can now enjoy it in a subway, on a bus, or even at the office. Since Digital Extremes haven’t shared the date of release yet, we can only assume that it will be not far away, based on the quality of the demo version of the game.
