Warcraft Arclight Rumble: Watch the Trailer of the New Mobile Game

The universe of Warcraft is still expanding. After many desktop games, animated series, and a movie (a lousy one, but nevertheless), here comes a mobile game. Named Warcraft Arclight Rumble, it will retain the tactical team-based gameplay. And now Blizzard steps up with a cinematic trailer for this game, sharing a bit more about what to expect.

The core of the game will be collecting Warcraft-related Minis and assembling an army of them (yes, collectibles again). It will feature various maps that reinvent the familiar settings. Old bosses will reappear to stand in the players’ way. The description also promises fast-paced action and incredible diversity based on characters’ powers and weaknesses. It’s also said to have six various modes and over 60 characters and miniatures that will belong to one of five playable families.

What do we see in the trailer? Familiar characters present as both the players and the miniatures they use to play. The battles are fierce, and they are team-based, as clashes involve crowds of them. What worries authors of some comments on YouTube is the opening sequence where characters literally throw coins into the machine. Does it mean the game is planned as free-to-play and designed to require microtransactions?

The answers will arrive with the game itself. When? The trailer does not show the date. Neither does Blizzard tell it in the announce. Given that its nearest scheduled release is Diablo Immortal, set on June 2, and it comes to mobiles as well as to PC, hardly will they launch another new game any time soon after that. So, chances are we’ll have to wait a little longer.
