The New Call of Duty: Warzone Patch Fixes the Caldera Bugs

The new map named Caldera in Call of Duty: Warzone was received controversially. This Pacific island offers a spectacular place for combat, with rich tactical opportunities, yet it contained too many bugs for playing comfortably. Weeks after its introduction, a special patch is issued to fix the bugs of Caldera and make it a playable place.

The most notorious of bugs reported about Caldera was the possibility to shoot through stone, walls, trees, any object as if they were ghosts. Along with this, there were issues with progress tracking during the current event on CoD: Warzone, Festive Fervor. In the patch Activision released on December 19, these bugs were addressed and mostly fixed.

Along with this, the patch brings in a little rebalancing. Certain weapons and adjustments (first of all Cooper Carbine assault rifle) were changed. While base weapons were not affected much by these adjustments, the Vanguard Weapons were changed in a sort of strange way. Cooper Carbine fans would be upset (and Activision admits that in the patch notes) that its both maximum and minimum damage are now reduced, as well as its ADS speed. Another weapon that got under that wheel is Charlie assault rifle. Its barrel and magazine are now less powerful in terms of control and capacity.

Finally, with this patch, the Firesale Public Event was set to last a certain time.  This event allowed players to buy weapons at the Buy Station at up to 80% discounts and even get some for free. It also offered such opportunities as redeployment for killed teammates. A bug that could make it last too long is addressed too: now it’s returned to the original 60 seconds.

Have you already tried the patched Call of Duty: Warzone? Did it really fix all the Caldera bugs for you? And how do you like the rebalance, especially if you are a Cooper Carbine fan? Share your opinion about this in the comments!
