The Game Basics
As a Kid, your task is to collect 6 keys to open the basement. Once you find all the keys, the timer automatically goes down to one minute. Then you have to avoid the impostor's attempts to catch you and escape. You can also become a Neighbor, where your goal is to catch all housebreakers and prevent them from entering your basement. The algorithm of the game independently decides which role you will play.
Neighbors and Kids Characters
First of all, you need to know the personage you are playing. There are six Kids you can choose from and three Neighbors. At the start of the game, your only options are the Bagger and the classic Neighbor, but after earning coins, you can unlock other characters too. All of them have their special abilities. 1. Play with the audio turned On. Sounds can tell you where your allies are and where to look for keys. It will also help not to get caught by the Neighbor.
2. Аfter getting caught, you can't continue your adventures, but if you're a beginner in Secret Neighbor, we wouldn’t recommend leaving the game. You can learn the game basics and observe other characters' behavior by watching teammates play.
3. Finding all of the keys is the main priority. The location of the keys is random. Сoncentrate on searching, and open every door and drawer you see. Search in every area you're in, and move nearby items around. You can pick them up and throw them down as you go along.
4. Stick together, but don’t trust anyone entirely. This also applies to the Secret Neighbor gameplay. Usually, most Neighbors will hunt Kids who are separated from the rest of the group. Try to stick together in small groups of two or three. Also, use chat tools to communicate.
5. The sound of a crow will tell you the direction to go, and a message will appear on the screen saying that the crow marks the key. This bird noise will guide you to finding the last of the six keys.
6. Pick up and use food items to regain your health. You can find them in the fridge or cupboards, but they are usually randomly located around.
7. At the start of the game, Neighbor appears to the other players as another Kid. You can change forms by tapping on the Kid and Neighbor icons. So your task is to act busy, in a way that will give no clue of who you are.
8. There are some advantages to transforming in Neighbor early in the game. It would be an optional way to make some quick kills and distract Kids from finding keys.
9. As a Neighbor, you can access various secret rooms inside the house. There you can find different items that will help you catch more Kids.
10. You can still earn some coins even after being caught. You will need to survive until 15 minutes run as you will receive 20 coins for that.
