Let’s Cancel Excess Subscriptions on Your iPhone

Are all subscriptions on your iPhone under your control? Check out this guide to figure out whether you have unused subscriptions that charge money or not.

The number of exciting subscription services, games, and apps is overwhelming today and it’s so easy to forget you signed up for something! Do you want to take a look at all your iPhone subscriptions in one place and quickly terminate the ones you don’t need anymore? Use our step-by-step guide to do it right now.

Finding Your Subscriptions

If you want to take a look at the list of your subscriptions first, you have to open the Settings app first. You will see your name and avatar in the first line. Tap it to reveal the main Apple ID tab and then tap Subscriptions to reveal the full list. You will see not only the list of subscriptions but also the next billing dates and expired subscriptions that require manual renovation. Here you can also enable Renewal Receipts and automatic sharing of new subscriptions for those services that support family sharing.

Canceling Your Subscriptions

Now you can tap any subscription on the list to reveal the options available for each of them. You will see all the available tiers with the selected tier marked. If the subscription includes a bundle of apps or services, you can tap Cancel (Subscription Name) to terminate the entire bundle subscription on tap Select Individual Services to leave particular items from the bundle and save some money. Canceling a subscription doesn’t mean that it becomes unavailable immediately. The service will stop working only when the last paid tier ends. You can see the final access date below the Cancel button.

For your convenience, all the canceled and expired subscriptions are always listed at the bottom of the list so that you can quickly renovate them if needed. The new plan will be automatically activated, but you can change the plan in the individual tab of each subscription immediately. If any problems with disabling or enabling subscriptions occur, you can send a request to Apple Support. They usually reply quite quickly and give actionable advice. You can also look for similar requests in the archives and find the answer manually.

Under Control

Now you know how to have direct access to all of your iPhone and iPad subscriptions. You can cancel and renovate them on both devices simultaneously if they are connected with the same Apple ID. If the subscriptions are available on your Mac and Apple Watch, the changes will affect these devices too, so be attentive not to lose something important.
