How to Cancel Stadia Pro Subscription 

Google Stadia is a game streaming service launched back in November 2019. This platform allows its users to play on different devices virtually due to streaming technology. You do not have to buy any console to access Stadia. Use what you already have: phones, computers, tablets, etc. You also can change the device during the game without any losses to the gameplay. 

The platform works with various developers to get the games for a wide range of consoles. Google Stadia started with 22 games and added four more in December 2019. You can see a few famous names among the list, including Mortal Combat and Doom. Google also announced to release more than 100 games in 2020. 

What Happens After Your Stadia Pro Unsubscribing 

Since the initial launch, Stadia has added a lot of games and features. However, there are a lot of things to be done to make it better. If you purchased the Founder's Edition in November 2019 and your trial period came to an end; here's a piece of advice about canceling your subscription. 

By canceling the subscription, you choose not to pay about 10$ per month, so you'll lose access to new free games, but you still will be able to play games you purchased before. Games with a “purchased” mark are the games you bought, so you can keep and play them. Everything you bought will remain in your library. Instead of 4K and 5.1 surrounds, you'll have stereo sound and 1080p stream. With the active Pro subscription, you can claim free games available only for 30 days. “Claimed” games are part of the Stadia Pro subscription package, which is its main perk, by the way. So you'll probably miss them out. Besides, all the discounts are only available for members with a Pro subscription.  

After canceling, you have a chance to be among the first free users of Google Stadia cloud streaming. According to support documentation for Stadia, the games you claimed and your saved data will remain in the cloud. They will be available to you if you want to resubscribe. But this might happen only in a few months. You can try it if you have a connection to the Internet, proper hardware and you live in the following countries:

How to Unsubscribe From Chrome and Stadia 

The given instruction will help you to prevent your account from charges via your Chrome browser or the Stadia mobile app. You have to go on with Chrome cancellation: open stadia.google.com→click your avatar →click on “Stadia settings“ in the drop-off menu→ click ''Purchases & subscriptions“→hit “Unsubscribe.“
Then cancel the Stadia app. First, you should make sure that the version of the Stadia app installed on your Android or iOS device is the latest one. Open your Stadia app→tap your avatar in the right corner on the top of the screen→find “Purchases“ on the settings→tap “Unsubscribe“ at the bottom of the Stadia Pro box. Done, you are free from charges.  

Say Goodbye to Pro 

If your free trial period of Stadia Pro subscription has come to an end, you can unsubscribe without any problems, using our instruction. In this case, all the games that you purchased remain in your library. Remember, you can’t claim new games without the Stadia Pro subscription.
