The official Clubhouse app for Android has been much rumored recently, and here it comes. The official Twitter of Clubhouse informed that soon the app would roll out in several regions – namely, Brazil, Japan, and Russia. These countries will be the first to download and enjoy Clubhouse for Android officially.
If the app works well in these regions, it will eventually become available in other countries as well. The second wave will include Nigeria and India on May 21, and the rest of the world will receive it on the same day, though several hours later. Availability of the app, though, does not mean that anyone can register: Clubhouse is planning to stick to its invite system, limiting the number of users and making the scaling easier, at the same time keeping the elite club feeling it still delivers.
Clubhouse is not as much hyped about as it was three or four months ago, but still popular enough to attract a new massive wave of users. The crucial question is whether it will attract enough speakers delivering their speeches and creating their rooms exclusively on Clubhouse. Otherwise, it may be pushed out by its massive rivals like Facebook, Twitter, or Telegram that introduce similar features, inspired by Clubhouse’s success.
