League of Legends never runs out of new ideas, even if they are “just” new skins. What can be more natural than a set of skins made for a certain celebration? Especially if it’s Halloween. New skins are rather spooky, and that’s the perfect thing for the upcoming holiday. And some even say they are more impressive than the gameplay, which says a lot when related to LoL.
There will be skins for Annie, Draven, Nautilus, Renata Glasc, Trundle, and Urgot. You can take a look at them in the official video Riot Games published on the official Twitter of League of Legends. Themes like pumpkins, pale masks, ghost faces, or mystical halos set the style of these new skins. The characters themselves turn into brutal murderers, werewolves, or some generic undead creatures. Some of them (as noted by fans) could have made it to Tim Burton’s movies.
The reception of these skins, though, was controversial from the beginning. Some fans complained that while Draven and Annie have quite many skins, other champions receive much less attention. Others say that Annie is already Gothic enough to fit the theme, so it would be better to make a skin for some other champion. The most anecdotic reaction is a player saying she has lost some games playing Renata but will still play her just because of the outfit. That’s just nice.
As you might have guessed, these skins are not free. You can buy them in the in-game store, starting some time later. But a peek is available right now. The official League of Legends store will start selling them on September 21. And these will be among the expensive skins, their price being up to 1,350 RP.
Would you like to have one or more of them for your Halloween League of Legends sessions? Do you think they fit the champions, and the champions to wear these skins have been chosen wisely? Share your opinion with us in the comments!
