Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Will Allegedly Release Sooner Than Expected

There are plenty of fans waiting for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 this year. At the moment, the developers haven’t made an official announcement regarding where players can expect the game to arrive. However, there have been a number of leaks in the last months to suggest that the latest Call of Duty installment will be introduced earlier than expected.

One of the main insiders of the game, Tom Henderson, has provided plenty of information related to the series over the years. According to the tweet posted by Henderson, the new game will be revealed in the summer of 2022. What is more, there have been rumors that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be out in October and not in November, which is the usual month for the game releases. The only time an installment in the series was released before November was in 2018 when developers presented Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. And it happened so that the release wouldn’t coincide with Red Dead Redemption 2, which was planned for November.

The alleged reason for the earlier release has to do with the decreased sales of Vanguard, so such a decision makes sense. In itself, Call of Duty: Vanguard has proven to be a great game, but there has definitely been a decline when it comes to financial performance. As for the Call of Duty: Warzone update, it should also arrive right after the release.

There have been other leaked details that reveal more about the upcoming title. For instance, we already know that Warren Jole from Uncharted 4 will appear in the game and that there will be a new PvPvE mode. Another leak that could turn out to be true is that the action in the game will take place in Latin America.
