XFire has recently posted a report, authored by much-trusted Tom Henderson, stating that the next part of the Battlefield franchise has already entered the active development stage at DICE. While it doesn’t contain much specific information or anything that can be taken as a promise, the article may still give us an insight into what the new Battlefield might be like. It’s clear at present that EA has been investing a lot of resources to revive the franchise after the failed launch of Battlefield 2042, which caused the game to lose part of its audience in no time.
Henderson emphasizes that DICE has learned the lessons of the previous reveal. There’s even a source that he refers to in his article claiming that part some of the new features introduced in Battlefield 2042 might be reverted in the most recent version of the game. A lot, in fact. Unfortunately, there’s no specific list of the unfortunate updates that will most probably end up cut out from the game, but it’s still encouraging to some of the more loyal players that such plans exist. As for the setting of the newest Battlefield, no official announcement has been made yet. However, Henderson mentions in his article that it will be set in a modern or near-future environment, which leaves us with at least a vague idea of what we should expect.
In case you missed it, Battlefield 2042 suffered a catastrophic launch when it came out. So many fans abandoned the game during the first few weeks that it had trouble competing with older games such as Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V, and nearly every aspect of the vew arrival was received with criticism. What improvements do you expect in the new Battlefield? Which blunders do you hope to see fixed this time? Post a comment down below to share your opinion.
